Applications for the School for Deacons may be submitted at any time after the applicant has been accepted into diaconal formation by the Bishop. Next, beginning students will arrange for an interview time with school director.

The normative process in the diocese of California is that students must be postulants for holy orders in the ordination process before beginning at the School for Deacons.
